Spring Soccer Anyone?

Spring soccer registration will be available online Jan 3-24, 2009 at www.quickscores.com/ddymca. In person registration will take place on Saturday, Jan 17 from 1-4 pm. It's the same routine as last time, request Coach Terrance and the Soccerdiles at registration.

What a season it was,
All across Decatur, the Soccerdiles created quite a buzz.

Day one there were quite a few tears, (especially Jack)
But throughout the season all of the players overcame their fears.

From kicking, running, jumping and even hair dressing,
This team might need some work, I heard Coach Terrance confessing.

We learned lots of new skills, doing drills, dribbling and being the shark,
Before we knew it, everyone kicked goals like an expert mark.

Hugs and kisses, Nia was always full of compassion
Julia with her pink shin guards was Miss fashion.

Parker and Adam, powerful kickers, soon won compliments for their “golden” toes,
Within Ellis we know a future coach surely grows.

Jack and Michael raced each other down the field super fast,
And Vivian and Avery always looked like they were having quite a blast.

But what was truly the very best thing about the Soccerdiles,
Was how soccer playing created huge, enormous smiles.

Pizza & Medals Tonight

The Soccerdiles are meeting at Grant Central Pizza this evening at 6:15 to celebrate an undefeated season and hand out well-deserved medals. Please join us if you can. I will be getting over there about 6:00 to grab some tables and put in an oder in for a couple of pies. I remembered the camera this time so I will post photos in the coming days.

Make-up Game Canceled

The game this morning has been canceled due to field conditions. I do no think there will be a make-up for the make-up, but we will try to schedule a dinner event this week when we can hand out the medals.

Week 6 Game

We are back on Field 9 again but at 11:20 this Saturday. We will be playing a purple team

Also, Let me know if you will not be able to join for the make-up game on 11/15 at 9:00. I picked up the kids medals and was planning to hand them out at after the game on the 15. However, if you cannot make it I want to make sure everyone gets theirs.

Make-Up Game

We will play the make up game from 10/25 on 11/15 at the same time and location that it was originally scheduled-- 9:00 AM on field 9.
